STS135 NASATweetup Announcements

Today was a very exciting or very disappointing day, depending on which side of the crowd you ended up. Along with 5500 other NASA Tweeps, I put my name in a lottery to take part in a two day event the day before and the day of the launch of STS135 Atlantis. 150 lucky Tweeps got an email today announcing that they had won the Tweetup lottery. Dear Michael Wilkinson,

We regret to inform you that you were not selected for the NASA Tweetup nor the wait list. Thank you for your interest in attending the NASA Tweetup in conjunction with the launch of space shuttle Atlantis on the STS-135 mission. We value your interest in space and wish we had room to invite all 5,500+ who applied! Thank you for your ongoing support of our nation’s space program and the men and women -- including astronauts living in orbit -- who work at NASA.

I'm still trying to find a way to see the launch in person. Haven't given up all hope yet!
