Lift Off of STS-135!
I am still trying to gather my thoughts for my post about the launch experience. Yes, it was that powerful and an extremely emotional experience. For now, I will share one of my launch photos. I was able to capture Atlantis as it climbed toward space at the moment it went supersonic. The pressure wave, known as a sonic boom, causes a condensation plume. Notice the twin plumes from the nose cones of the solid rocket boosters.
